After consulting with Rick Tenney (Phillipston Highway/Mainteance), the QLA Dam Committee will be starting the Annual Draw Down Process the beginning of October.
The draw down will be done in increments over the next few weeks so as not to cause any flooding below the release area. It is a slow process and usually takes about two months to complete.
This draw down aids in the control of weeds, helps protect docks from ice damage, and allows property owners to maintain and repair their waterfronts.
