2014 Public Service Award and Concert
Sunday, December 7, 2014 on the Common, Phillipston, MA at 4:30 p.m.
Please come join us as the Historical Society of Phillipston once again sponsors the Memory Tree Ceremony, an event that has become a meaningful way to begin the Holiday Season. This event truly shows the Spirit of Phillipston. It is an occasion where we share reflections on memories of departed loved ones as well as a time to honor people, share concerns and celebrations. All of these people and occasions are represented on the tree that will be lighted. After which, we will move to the church where Senator Steve Brewer and Senator-Elect Anne Gobi will read the honored list. The citizen of the year will then be announced. The evening will culminate with a concert of beautiful Christmas music and some of the jazz specialties of Phillipston’s own Peter Travisano and Joe Deveglia. Light refreshments will be served in the vestry of the church. The event is always a meaningful way to begin the holiday season. This is an annual event sponsored by the Historical Society of Phillipston. You won’t want to miss this evening to remember.
