The Historical Society of Phillipston is honored to welcome
Senator Steve Brewer to town. He has
represented us in the Senate since 1997, after serving as Representative for
eight years, and during that spa
n of time, we’ve come to appreciate his hard work and dedication to making our state a better place. Just recently, he was honored as the Legislator of the Year for his efforts in developing renewable energy. Besides being an advocate for the environment, he is a humanitarian and histo
rian. He obtained the grant that enabled the Historical Society to publish The Spirit of Phillipston. On September 18th, he will speak to us on the History of Central Massachusetts. “Living in Central
Massachusetts we are lucky to be immersed in history. Many of our communities are home to the historic events that have helped shape the fate of our nation,” said Senator Stephen M. Brewer (D-Barre).
“This event is an important one to discuss our history and to never stop learning about the unique past of this Commonwealth.”
